If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?
How about Castaway Cay?

Disney’s private island in the Bahamas is one of my favorite parts of a Disney Cruise. In fact, if I had to conjure up my ideal day, I can’t think of anything better than a bike ride along the paths of the island, and later, planting myself at Serenity Bay, the secluded spot for those 18 and over. It’s lovely because it rarely gets crowded and feels like you have the beach all to yourself. I put my chair in the water and try not to move until lunch is served nearby. There’s even a bar, and if you’re lucky you’ll have a sweet bartender like we did. I’m practically drooling as I type this. It is a beautiful place. A tropical spot filled with many of the details we love about Disney.
Here are a few I spotted on our recent trip:

Karl Holz: Current president of Disney Cruise Line.

Tom Staggs: Chairman of Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts.

So special he has two spots of honor.

Bob Iger: The Big Cheese/President of the Walt Disney Company.

The manager of the Castaway Cay Post Office. May. B. Tamara. Get it?
Even on island time, Disney finds a way to celebrate its “big kahunas” in a subtle way. (And make a funny.)
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go back to my beach daydream…
