Happy Friday, friends!
I’m pretty enthused to introduce a new This Happy Place Blog series that will be featured for the next four Fridays in July. Surprisingly, James and I were inspired by one of the scheduled events during last month’s Disney Cruise: Innovations, a series exclusive to the Magic. In one session, we learned about theme park enhancements and in the second, animation. It was pretty interesting to see what movies popped up on the screen during the animation series: Tarzan, Treasure Planet, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. And then there were a few rarer movies playing on the Funnel Screen at the family pool like Brother Bear and The Goofy Movie. Over dinner one night…

was born.
So what makes a movie underrated? Is it the fact that it doesn’t have a princess in it? Was it the timing? Is it ignored in the theme parks?
A few guest posters, in addition to James and I, will try to figure it out as we talk about our picks for “endearing and underrated”.
I hope you enjoy!
