Countdown to the Weekend: 7/27/2012 (This Happy Place Blog)

Well… this week dragged. Glad to have some great reading to help me get through the week though. Here are a few of the highlights:

» Well, Imagineering Disney fulfills my love of construction photos with this awesome look at the Polynesian Resort.

» Emma over at A Pinch of Pixie Dust is a girl after my very own heart w/her look at Illuminations. (I love the watch picture!)

» I found my dream job thanks to the Disney Parks Blog: Christmas Correspondent. Check out this early look at the holiday season prep already going on!

» Some people have all the luck! Check out this great New York World’s Fair book Nick of Disleelandia found at a flea market.

» This week, Frank Oz received a lifetime achievement award at the Saturn Awards. Here’s a short by sweet profile on the man who brought us Miss Piggy and Yoda.

» Not really Disney related, but Sarah at Running at Disney has convinced me to open up my food processor and make this banana ice cream!

» Stitch Kingdom made my week/month/entire life when he wrote about a possible Muppet musical on Broadway. Shall I faint now?

» Princess Fee at DF’82 shares pictures from the opening of a new store in Paris that boasts some NYC details!

» The always cheery Be Our Guest Podcast hosted a 12-hour live show to raise money for Give Kids the World charity & surpassed their goal of $6,000. You can still donate through the weekend! It was such a fun show to listen to and for a great cause.

endearing and underrated, this happy place blog film series

The film series continued with two fantastic posts:

»  Melissa of Mouse on the Mind who chatted about Pete’s Dragon!
»  Amanda of Mandi on Movies about Mulan!

It’s been a great week over at This Happy Place. Thanks for stopping in and commenting! I can’t wait to share all that’s coming up next week!

Have a fun weekend!
