Under the (Theme Park) Lights: Mad for Dapper Day

I have a confession to make – I’ve never been to Disney World.  Terrible, isn’t it? I’ve been to DisneyLAND, but my parents never took me to WDW as a kid.  I really want to go and I swear I will eventually.  But, needless to say, I had no idea what Dapper Day was until Estelle asked me to do this guest post.  I happen to be a huge fan of Mad Men though, so the idea of walking around Disney World in 60′s inspired outfits sounded like so much fun.  I wish I could attend the event!

When looking for an outfit, I didn’t really know where to start.  I just knew I wanted something cute, comfortable and very me.  As soon as I saw this dress on Modcloth, I knew this was the one.  I love how it’s fitted at the waist with the skirt flared out.  It’s my favorite kind of dress.  Then because the dress is so dark, I wanted to pair it with bright accessories.  Like these cute polka dot flats (no way can I walk around a park in heels!).  This red satchel cross-body bag that I happen to own.  Matching red nail polish.  And I love pearls so I thought that would be the perfect final touch. (The pair I chose is crazy expensive but I can dream right?
